Privacy Policy for Dreamwave AI

1. Who we are
Dreamwave AI is a mobile application developed and operated by PrimeCode Studios. References to "we," "us," or "our" refer to PrimeCode Studios. You can contact us at primecodestudios14@gmail.com.
2. What data we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — your name and email address when you create an account.
- Dream content — the text or voice recordings you voluntarily submit for analysis. This is the primary content of the service and is submitted at your discretion.
- Companion chat messages — the messages you send to the AI dream companion. These are processed in real time to generate responses and are stored as part of your session history.
- Profile and preference data — your answers to onboarding questions including sleep goals, dream vividness, current emotions, and recurring symbols. This information is used to personalize your experience.
- Usage and analytics data — your dream streak, depth scores, emotion patterns, symbol frequency, and feature engagement. This data is used to generate your personal insights and improve the app.
- Device information — basic device type, operating system version, and app version for technical support and compatibility purposes. We do not collect your device's advertising identifier.
- Subscription and payment status — whether you are on a free or paid plan. We do not store, access, or process payment card information. All billing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store (see Section 5).
- Notification preferences — your chosen wake time for dream logging reminders, stored locally and used only to schedule push notifications on your device.
- Legal consent records — timestamps of when you agreed to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and AI data processing consent, stored in your user profile.
3. How we use your data
We use the data we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide AI-powered dream analysis — your dream text is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate analyses including symbol interpretations, emotional insights, depth scores, subconscious messages, and personality profiles. You explicitly consent to this processing by tapping "Allow AI Features" in the in-app consent prompt.
- To power the companion chat — your chat messages and dream history context are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate personalized conversational responses about your dreams.
- To generate subconscious reports — your dream patterns, emotion trends, and symbol data are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to produce weekly analytical reports.
- To store your journal — your dream entries, streak history, and profile data are stored securely in our database infrastructure provided by Supabase, Inc.
- To personalize your experience — your onboarding answers and dream history are used to tailor analyses, forecasts, and companion chat responses specifically to you.
- To send notifications — if you enable push notifications, we use your chosen wake time to send a morning reminder to log your dreams. We may also send a streak protection reminder in the evening. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings. We do not use notifications for advertising.
- To improve the app — we use aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to understand which features are most valuable and to fix bugs. This data cannot be used to identify you individually.
- To comply with legal obligations — we may process your data where required by applicable law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
4. Third-party services
We share your data with the following third-party service providers solely to operate the app. We do not sell your data to any third party for advertising or marketing purposes.
- Anthropic, Inc. (Claude AI) — your dream text, companion chat messages, and dream pattern summaries are transmitted to Anthropic's servers to generate AI-powered analysis, chat responses, and reports. We do not send your name, email address, or any directly identifying information alongside this content. Anthropic processes this data under their own privacy policy and does not use your data to train AI models. Anthropic's privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy. Anthropic is based in the United States.
- fal.ai — if you use video generation features, your dream descriptions may be sent to fal.ai's servers to generate visual content. No personal identifiers are sent alongside this content. fal.ai's privacy policy is available at fal.ai/privacy.
- Supabase, Inc. — provides our authentication system and database infrastructure. Your account information, dream entries, and profile data are stored on Supabase's servers. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy. Supabase infrastructure may be hosted in the United States or other jurisdictions.
- Apple, Inc. — processes all subscription payments through the App Store. We receive only your subscription status and do not have access to your payment card details. Apple's privacy policy is available at apple.com/privacy.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party advertising trackers within the app.
5. Apple In-App Purchases and payment data
Dreamwave AI offers optional subscription plans purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase system. When you subscribe:
- All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We never receive, store, or have access to your credit card number, billing address, or other financial information.
- We receive from Apple only your subscription status (active, expired, or cancelled), the product identifier of your subscription plan, and the original transaction identifier for verification purposes.
- Subscription management, billing, renewals, and refunds are handled through your Apple ID account settings and are governed by Apple's terms and conditions.
- We store your subscription tier (free, Starter, or Pro) locally on your device and in your user profile to unlock the appropriate features.
6. AI-generated content disclosure
All analyses, interpretations, messages, personality profiles, subconscious forecasts, companion chat responses, and other content generated by Dreamwave AI are produced by artificial intelligence. This content is intended solely for entertainment, personal reflection, and exploratory purposes.
Dreamwave AI does not provide medical advice, psychological diagnosis, psychiatric assessment, or mental health treatment of any kind. Nothing in the app should be interpreted as a substitute for professional medical or psychological care. If you are experiencing mental health difficulties, emotional distress, or recurring disturbing dreams that affect your wellbeing, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.
7. Data security
We implement the following measures to protect your data:
- All data transmission between the app and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- Your password is never stored in plain text — authentication is handled by Supabase using industry-standard bcrypt hashing.
- Database access is restricted using Row Level Security (RLS) policies so that each user can only access their own data.
- Your dream content is transmitted to Anthropic's API over encrypted connections and is not stored by Anthropic for model training.
- API keys and service credentials are stored as server-side environment variables and are never exposed in the app's client-side code.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data retention
We retain your account data and dream entries for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account using the in-app account deletion feature, all of your data — including your dream entries, profile information, streak history, chat history, and authentication credentials — is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated analytics data that cannot be linked to you individually may be retained indefinitely.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — the right to access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — the right to correct inaccurate data.
- Deletion — the right to request deletion of your data. You can exercise this directly through the Delete Account feature in the app.
- Withdraw consent — the right to withdraw consent for AI processing. You may choose not to use AI-powered features, in which case your content will not be sent to Anthropic or fal.ai.
- Data portability — the right to receive your data in a portable format, where applicable.
- Object to processing — the right to object to certain types of data processing.

10. Children's privacy
Dreamwave AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly. Users between 13 and 17 should use the app only with parental consent.
11. California residents — CCPA
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. 12. European users — GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: your consent (such as agreeing to AI analysis); the performance of our contract with you to provide the app service; our legitimate interests in operating and improving the app; and compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our data transfers to the United States are made in accordance with applicable transfer mechanisms.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this policy and notify you through the app. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes, we will require you to re-acknowledge the updated policy within the app.
